The brief

We set out to create a visual system that brings Copilot’s extensibility model to life – a shift away from static apps toward dynamic, personalized agents that evolve with user needs. This image library was designed to support storytelling across developer platforms, presentations, and product materials, helping teams convey how agents can be built, shaped, and integrated into real workflows.

Key Themes

Rooted in the latest M365 Copilot branding, the visuals combine clean, professional aesthetics with expressive elements like construction lines, acrylic UI panels, and subtle motion blur – suggesting movement, iteration, and progress.

We focused on three key themes:
• Extensibility UI – abstracting flexible, modular interfaces
• Building/Dev – visual metaphors for constructing intelligence
• Human-Centered – always placing the user at the core of the experience

Through tight collaboration across design, motion, and brand teams, we were able to shape a library that feels forward-looking, adaptable, and grounded in Copilot’s creative direction.

Motion Explorations

To support the static imagery, we also explored motion design as a way to express key ideas like extensibility, adaptability, and flow. These animations focus on transitions, construction lines, and responsive UI behavior – helping to visualize how agents evolve, connect, and respond over time. Subtle use of motion blur, layering, and spatial shifts reinforce the sense of a system that’s always building and adapting in real-time.
